The Most Sustainable Ink Curing Technology
As LED is becoming more accepted for flexo, screen and offset printing it is important to understand that not all LED are equal from a sustainability standpoint. The unique SST LED technology requires much less energy than the conventional LED systems and therefore, even further reduces energy costs and carbon emissions. The technology does this while still delivering equal to or better curing power and the least amount of press downtime for maintenance.
THE 5 WAYS SST TECHNOLOGY REDUCES ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND CARBON EMISSIONS:
- 1. The LED system itself uses much less energy than any other LED system
- 2. Because it generates so little heat, chilling systems for the substrate are eliminated
- 3. A chilling system or fans to chill the SST LED lamps is not needed
- 4. Energy to run exhaust systems to remove heat and voc is no longer needed
- 5. The air conditioning load for the facility us reduced
